  1. Design and develop innovative safety restraint systems for Tesla vehicles, ensuring they meet all safety standards and regulations.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine design requirements and specifications for safety restraints.
  3. Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify potential design improvements and implement them into new or existing systems.
  4. Create detailed design plans and documentation, including drawings, models, and simulations.
  5. Perform rigorous testing and validation to ensure the safety and reliability of the safety restraint systems.
  6. Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of safety restraints and make necessary improvements or updates.
  7. Stay updated on industry trends, advancements, and regulations related to safety restraints and integrate them into design processes.
  8. Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to source and select materials and components for the safety restraint systems.
  9. Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to provide progress updates and address any concerns or issues.
  10. Maintain accurate records and documentation of design processes, test results, and other relevant data.
  11. Adhere to project timelines and meet deadlines to ensure timely delivery of safety restraint systems.
  12. Comply with all Tesla policies and procedures, including safety protocols, in the workplace.
  13. Mentor and train junior engineers to develop their skills and knowledge in safety restraint design.
  14. Continuously strive for innovation and improvement in safety restraint design to keep Tesla at the forefront of the automotive industry.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Mechanical Engineering Or A Related Field

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience Designing Safety Restraint Systems, Specifically Air Bag Systems

  • Proficiency In Cad Software, Such As Solidworks Or Autocad

  • Knowledge Of Relevant Safety Regulations And Industry Standards, Such As Fmvss And Ece

  • Strong Problem-Solving And Analytical Skills, With The Ability To Identify And Troubleshoot Potential Design Issues In A Timely Manner
