- Develop and implement quality control processes and procedures for exterior automotive components, in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of exterior components to identify and address any quality issues or defects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and suppliers, to ensure quality standards are met throughout the entire production process.
- Utilize advanced problem-solving techniques to resolve any quality issues and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Lead root cause analysis investigations to identify the source of quality issues and develop effective solutions.
- Monitor and analyze data on product quality, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvement.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation and reports on quality metrics and performance.
- Communicate and collaborate with suppliers to ensure they meet quality requirements and address any issues that may arise.
- Train and mentor junior quality engineers and provide guidance and support to other team members.
- Continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures to enhance overall product quality and efficiency.
- Stay up-to-date with industry standards and advancements in exterior automotive engineering to ensure Tesla remains at the forefront of innovation in the automotive industry.
- Represent Tesla in a professional manner and promote a culture of quality and excellence within the company.
Extensive Experience In Quality Assurance: A Senior Exteriors Quality Engineer At Tesla Must Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Quality Assurance, Particularly In The Automotive Industry. This Includes A Strong Understanding Of Quality Control Processes, Defect Prevention Techniques, And Root Cause Analysis.
Knowledge Of Automotive Industry Standards: Tesla Is Known For Its High-Quality Standards, And A Senior Exteriors Quality Engineer Must Have A Deep Understanding Of Industry-Specific Quality Standards Such As Iso/Ts 16949 And Iso 9001. They Should Also Be Familiar With Automotive Industry Regulations And Best Practices.
Strong Technical Background: A Senior Exteriors Quality Engineer Should Have A Strong Technical Background, Particularly In Mechanical Engineering. They Should Have A Solid Understanding Of Automotive Design And Manufacturing Processes, As Well As Experience With Materials And Components Used In Vehicle Exteriors.
Leadership Skills: As A Senior Role, The Exteriors Quality Engineer Will Be Responsible For Managing A Team Of Quality Engineers And Technicians. Therefore, Strong Leadership Skills, Including The Ability To Motivate And Mentor Team Members, Are Essential For This Position.
