
Marine Mammal Internship
Heavy emphasis is placed on the maintenance of the exhibit (Diving/Cleaning), and basic tasks such as food preparation, daily cleaning/facility maintenance, water quality, interacting with the public, and participating in daily presentations. Interns will shadow trainers in husbandry, training, show, and enrichment sessions and may also assist in training, husbandry, and enrichment sessions as they gain experience.
- Cleaning and Maintenance of exhibits
- Diet preparation
- Complete ABC’s of Animal Training
- Observe training, husbandry, and enrichment sessions
- Perform public speaking and assist in daily presentations
- Learn basic water quality and life support
- Create and Implement an original EED
Open Water SCUBA Certification
No previous marine mammal experience is required but it is preferred
Must be currently enrolled in college or have recently graduated
Serious interest in entering the marine mammal training field.
