- Teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in piano performance, theory, and related subjects.
- Develop and implement innovative and engaging curriculum that meets the needs of diverse students.
- Conduct private lessons, master classes, and workshops to enhance students' technical skills and musicality.
- Mentor and advise students, providing guidance and support in their academic and career goals.
- Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and events to contribute to the overall growth and success of the Music Department.
- Engage in scholarly and creative activities, such as performances, lectures, and publications, to enhance the department's reputation and promote the university's mission.
- Collaborate with other faculty members to develop interdisciplinary projects and performances.
- Actively recruit and audition prospective students to the piano program.
- Serve as a role model and mentor for students, demonstrating professionalism, dedication, and passion for music.
- Maintain a high level of expertise and knowledge in the field of piano performance through continuous learning and professional development.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Participate in community outreach and engagement activities to promote the Music Department and the university's commitment to the arts.
- Comply with all university policies and procedures, including but not limited to, grading, attendance, and student evaluations.
- Collaborate with other faculty members to assess and improve the effectiveness of the piano program.
- Communicate regularly with students, colleagues, and staff, using effective and professional communication skills.
A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In Piano Performance Or Music Education From An Accredited Institution.
At Least 5 Years Of Experience Teaching Piano At The Collegiate Level, With A Proven Track Record Of Student Success And Retention.
Demonstrated Excellence In Piano Performance Through Solo Recitals, Chamber Music Performances, And/Or Concerto Appearances.
A Strong Commitment To Teaching And Mentoring Students Of Diverse Backgrounds And Abilities.
Active Participation In Professional Organizations And Conferences Related To Piano Pedagogy And Performance.
