
Recycling/Waste Management Worker

- Sort and separate recyclable materials according to department guidelines and standards.
- Operate and maintain recycling equipment, including balers and compactors.
- Monitor and maintain recycling bins and containers throughout campus.
- Educate and inform students, faculty, and staff on proper recycling practices and waste reduction strategies.
- Assist with the development and implementation of recycling and waste management programs and initiatives.
- Conduct regular waste audits to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations to reduce waste.
- Ensure compliance with all local and state recycling and waste management regulations.
- Collaborate with other team members to coordinate and execute recycling and waste management events and campaigns.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of recycling and waste management activities.
- Continuously seek out and implement new ideas and strategies to improve recycling and waste management efforts on campus.
- Regularly communicate with supervisor and team members to discuss progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while performing job duties.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
