
Senior Fund Accountant

The successful candidate for this role will be an ambitious self-starter with strong analytical and problem solving skills.The ideal Senior Fund Accountant should possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in fund accounting and/or financial services, a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, and a comprehensive understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Additionally, the successful candidate will have excellent organizational skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with others. Responsibilities of a Senior Fund Accountant:
- Perform a variety of accounting activities related to funds, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Analyze financial data and develop financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Review and reconcile fund accounting records and transactions.
- Maintain and update fund accounting records, ledgers, and databases.
- Monitor and analyze fund performance on a regular basis.
- Prepare and review tax returns, financial statements, and other regulatory documents.
- Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and errors.
- Provide assistance and guidance to other team members with complex accounting matters.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
