Serve as global subject matter expert on ASC 715, Compensation – Retirement Benefits: Support Local Finance and Total Rewards teams with technical accounting guidance and analysis. Lead annual defined benefits accounting training for Local Finance teams. Work closely with local and global actuary on budgeting, assumption setting and plan valuations. Monitor U.S. defined benefit plans for special events accounting (settlements, curtailments and special termination benefits). Prepare global pension and OPEB plan disclosures in the Company’s Form 10-Qs and 10-Ks. Annual reporting includes levelling of plan assets under ASC 820, Fair Value Measurement. Analyze potential changes to RE and BP for revised economic assumptions and proposed benefit plan redesigns. Prepare standalone financial statements for defined benefit and defined contribution audits related to tax Form 5500 filings.
