As a member of our freight and receiving team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our stores are stocked and our customers receive their orders in a timely and efficient manner.   1. Receive and process incoming shipments of merchandise from suppliers and vendors.
  2. Verify accuracy of received products and ensure proper documentation is completed.
  3. Sort, organize, and stock received products in designated areas within the store.
  4. Maintain a clean and organized receiving area to ensure efficient flow of incoming products.
  5. Collaborate with team members to prioritize and process shipments based on store needs.
  6. Communicate any discrepancies or issues with received products to appropriate team members.
  7. Utilize equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts to move and store products.
  8. Follow safety procedures and protocols while handling and storing products.
  9. Assist in inventory management by conducting regular cycle counts and reporting any discrepancies.
  10. Support the sales team by retrieving and delivering products to the sales floor as needed.
  11. Ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders by picking and packing products.
  12. Adhere to company policies and procedures, including maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
  13. Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency within the freight and receiving department.
  14. Maintain a positive and professional attitude while interacting with customers and team members.
  15. Prioritize and manage workload in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  16. Train and mentor new team members as needed.
  17. Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
  18. Assist in other areas of the store as needed to support overall store operations.
  19. Attend and actively participate in team meetings and training sessions.
  20. Represent the company in a positive manner at all times and provide excellent customer service.
