Job Description

The New York Times is looking for an experienced Data Journalist to join our dynamic newsroom. As a Data Journalist, you will be responsible for producing compelling and accurate data-driven stories. You should have a passion for informing the public and creating innovative data visualizations while working closely with other reporters, editors, and designers.The ideal candidate should have a degree in Journalism, Media, or a related field and at least 3 years of experience in data journalism. You should have a strong understanding of investigative and storytelling techniques, as well as a proven ability to think critically and quickly process large amounts of data. You should also be highly proficient in Excel and be comfortable using statistical software such as SPSS or R.In addition, you should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work under tight deadlines. Most importantly, you should be a team player with a positive attitude and a passion for bringing data to life through compelling stories.
