Job Description

The University of Kansas Health System seeks an experienced, highly-motivated ECG Technician to join our team in providing extraordinary care for our patients. This role is a great opportunity for an individual with excellent customer service skills, superior attention to detail, and a passion for helping others. The successful candidate will possess a high school diploma or equivalent, be certified as an ECG Technician, and have a minimum of one year of ECG experience. In addition to providing quality patient care, this role requires exceptional interpersonal skills, strong critical thinking, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a commitment to continuous learning and growth, and an eagerness to stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field.

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform electrocardiograms (ECGs) according to established protocols and standards of care.
  2. Review ECG results for accuracy and completeness.
  3. Ensure the highest level of customer service and patient care.
  4. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare staff.
  5. Maintain accurate records of ECG results.
  6. Monitor and maintain ECG equipment.
  7. Follow safety protocols when performing ECGs.
  8. Participate in continuing education courses to stay up to date with the latest advancements in ECG technology.
  9. Report any discrepancies or changes in patient symptoms to the appropriate healthcare provider.
  10. Provide support and assistance to other healthcare professionals as needed.
