Job Description

At The University of Kansas Health System, we are looking for a Housekeeping Discharge Specialist who is passionate about providing excellent patient-centered care and has the qualifications necessary to ensure a clean and safe environment for all patients. As a Housekeeping Discharge Specialist, you will be responsible for providing a high level of cleanliness and sanitization in patient rooms, bathrooms, and other areas of the hospital. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong eye for detail, the ability to stay organized, and a passion for providing excellent patient-centered care. Qualifications:• High school diploma or equivalent• Previous experience in housekeeping or janitorial work• Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety protocols• Ability to lift and move supplies up to 50 pounds• Knowledge of cleaning products and equipment• Excellent organizational and communication skills• Ability to work independently and as part of a team• Commitment to providing exceptional customer service

Responsibilities: • Ensure a clean and sanitary environment in patient rooms, bathrooms, and other areas of the hospital • Adhere to safety protocols and instructions while using cleaning products and equipment • Lift and move supplies up to 50 pounds • Maintain excellent organizational and communication skills • Work independently and as part of a team to provide exceptional customer service • Keep records and track progress for reporting purposes • Monitor supplies and equipment, and inform supervisor of any needs • Follow established protocols for cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining the patient rooms and common areas
