Job Description

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Patient Scheduling Representative to join our team. As a Patient Scheduling Representative, you will be responsible for scheduling patient appointments, verifying insurance information, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills and experience in a medical office setting. Required Qualifications:• High School diploma or equivalent • 1 year of healthcare/medical office experience • Knowledge of medical terminology • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite • Excellent customer service and communication skills • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment • Exceptional organizational skills

Responsibilities: • Scheduling patient appointments and verifying insurance information • Providing excellent customer service to patients • Answering patient inquiries • Assisting with patient registration and check-in • Filing and maintaining patient records • Maintaining patient databases and health information systems • Assisting with procedure and office protocol • Coordinating with other departments to ensure timely and accurate scheduling of appointments • Working collaboratively with a team to provide high-quality care • Troubleshooting and resolving scheduling conflicts • Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies
