Job Description

The University of Kansas Health System is looking for a passionate and dedicated Patient Service Representative to join our team. As a Patient Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to our patients and families. You will be the first point of contact for patients, and your positive attitude and commitment to providing outstanding service will be key in helping us to achieve our mission.We're looking for someone who has at least one year of customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting. You must have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times. You should also be comfortable using computers, capable of learning our systems quickly, and have excellent organizational skills. Additionally, knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.If you're passionate about providing exceptional customer service and want to make a positive impact on our patients' experience, then we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  1. Greet and assist patients and families in a courteous and friendly manner.
  2. Respond to patient inquiries and provide accurate information about our services.
  3. Manage patient accounts and process payments.
  4. Schedule and coordinate appointments.
  5. Monitor and update patient records.
  6. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
  7. Maintain a professional and organized work environment.
  8. Utilize computer systems and programs to accurately capture patient information.
  9. Develop and maintain positive relationships with patients, families, and other staff members.
  10. Provide exceptional customer service at all times.
