The Walt Disney Company is seeking an Associate Principal Counsel, Employment Legal to join our legal team. As a key member of the team, you’ll have the opportunity to work on a wide range of employment-related legal matters, provide advice and counsel to leaders across the company, and be part of a dynamic and engaging work environment.We’re looking for a professional who has an excellent legal background in the areas of employment law and labor relations. In addition to being a licensed attorney, you should have a minimum of 8 years of experience in a top-tier law firm or in-house legal department. To be successful in this role, you should be a self-starter who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative. Responsibilities:

  1. Provide legal advice and counsel to leaders across the company on a variety of employment-related matters.
  2. Develop creative solutions to complex legal issues, and work strategically to achieve desired outcomes.
  3. Draft, review, and negotiate employment-related agreements, such as contracts and settlement agreements.
  4. Monitor changes in applicable laws and regulations, and advise clients on potential impacts.
  5. Research and analyze employment-related cases and precedents, and advise clients on potential risks.
  6. Assist in the development and implementation of employment policies and procedures.
  7. Identify potential legal issues and proactively research and recommend potential solutions.
  8. Collaborate with other members of the legal team and other departments to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  9. Provide training and education to staff on relevant legal issues.
  10. Prepare and submit reports to senior management on legal matters.
