  1. Design and create visually stunning and memorable character designs for The Walt Disney Company.
  2. Collaborate with a team of artists and animators to ensure consistency and quality in character designs.
  3. Understand and maintain the unique styles and characteristics of beloved Disney characters.
  4. Utilize a strong understanding of character design principles to bring characters to life.
  5. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and techniques to continuously improve and innovate character designs.
  6. Work closely with other departments, such as animation and story, to ensure cohesive and compelling character designs.
  7. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior artists and assist in their professional development.
  8. Meet project deadlines and work efficiently under pressure.
  9. Communicate effectively with team members and provide constructive feedback in a collaborative and respectful manner.
  10. Uphold the brand and image of The Walt Disney Company through exceptional character designs.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Character Modeling And Texturing: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Character Modeling And Texturing For Film, Animation, Or Video Games. They Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Anatomy, Topology, And Be Proficient In Industry-Standard Software Such As Maya, Zbrush, And Substance Painter.

  • Strong Portfolio Showcasing A Variety Of Styles: The Candidate Should Have A Diverse Portfolio Demonstrating Their Ability To Create Highly Detailed And Realistic Characters, As Well As Stylized And Cartoony Characters. It Should Also Showcase Their Understanding Of Different Art Styles And Their Ability To Adapt To The Specific Needs Of The Project.

  • Knowledge Of Disney Brand And Characters: The Senior Character Artist Should Have A Deep Understanding And Appreciation Of The Disney Brand And Its Iconic Characters. They Should Be Able To Maintain The Integrity And Authenticity Of The Characters While Also Bringing Their Own Unique Style And Creativity To The Table.

  • Leadership And Collaboration Skills: As A Senior Member Of The Team, The Candidate Should Have Strong Leadership Skills And The Ability To Collaborate Effectively With Other Artists, Animators, And Designers. They Should Be Able To Provide Constructive Feedback, Mentor Junior Artists, And Work Closely With The Art Director To Ensure The Team's Vision Is Realized.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Fine Arts Or Related Field: While Not A Requirement, A Bachelor's Degree In Fine Arts, Animation, Or A Related Field Can Be Beneficial In This Role. It Demonstrates A Formal Education In Art And A Commitment To The Craft. Additionally, Candidates With A Degree May Have A Better Understanding Of The Technical Aspects Of 3D Modeling And Animation.
