As a Senior Counsel, you will play a crucial role in providing legal support and guidance to our various business divisions and help shape the future of our company. We are looking for a candidate with a strong legal background, exceptional communication and leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the entertainment industry.   1. Provide legal support and guidance to all business divisions within The Walt Disney Company.
  2. Advise on legal matters related to the entertainment industry, including but not limited to, copyright, intellectual property, contracts, and licensing agreements.
  3. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to help shape the future of the company and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  4. Conduct legal research and analysis to stay up-to-date on industry developments and provide proactive legal advice.
  5. Review and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents on behalf of the company.
  6. Manage and oversee outside counsel when necessary.
  7. Serve as a subject matter expert on all legal matters related to Disney's business operations.
  8. Communicate complex legal concepts in a clear and concise manner to non-legal colleagues.
  9. Develop and implement company policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance.
  10. Provide training and guidance to junior legal team members.
  11. Collaborate with other departments, such as finance and human resources, to ensure legal compliance in all areas of the company.
  12. Stay informed about industry trends, changes in laws and regulations, and other legal developments that may impact the company.
  13. Represent the company in legal proceedings, negotiations, and other business transactions.
  14. Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions.
  15. Continuously evaluate and improve legal processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Extensive Legal Experience: A Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In A Legal Role, With A Strong Background In Contract Negotiation, Intellectual Property Law, And Corporate Governance.

  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated Ability To Lead A Team And Manage Complex Legal Matters, With Proven Experience In Providing Guidance And Mentorship To More Junior Attorneys.

  • Industry Knowledge: In-Depth Understanding Of The Entertainment Industry, Including Its Regulatory And Legal Landscape, With A Focus On Media And Content Distribution.

  • Strategic Thinking: Proven Ability To Think Strategically And Provide Sound Legal Advice To Support Business Objectives, With A Track Record Of Developing And Implementing Innovative Legal Solutions.

  • Excellent Communication And Collaboration: Strong Communication Skills And Ability To Build Relationships Across All Levels Of The Organization, With A Collaborative And Inclusive Approach To Problem-Solving.
