Job Description

At Thermo Fisher Scientific, we are looking for a Downstream Process Engineer to join our team and help to drive the development of our manufacturing processes. We are looking for a motivated individual who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and has an aptitude for problem-solving. The ideal candidate has at least a bachelor's degree in engineering, with a focus in chemical, biological, or bioprocess engineering, and experience in downstream process development. Furthermore, the ideal candidate should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as an aptitude for working with a variety of stakeholders to develop innovative solutions.This is an exciting opportunity to join a talented team of professionals and contribute to the development of state-of-the-art processes that will enable us to continue to lead the way in manufacturing and production. Responsibilities for a Downstream Process Engineer:

  1. Develop innovative downstream processes that adhere to industry regulations and standards.
  2. Utilize technical knowledge to identify and resolve production problems.
  3. Monitor and evaluate the performance of downstream processes to ensure they meet standards and requirements.
  4. Train personnel on the operation and maintenance of downstream processes.
  5. Participate in the design of experimental methods and process optimization.
  6. Prepare technical reports, data analysis, and documentation of process development.
  7. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement new processes and technologies.
  8. Troubleshoot and optimize existing processes to improve safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  9. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental guidelines.
  10. Monitor and report on the performance of downstream processes.
