Environmental Sustainability Specialist

As an essential member of our corporate sustainability program, you’ll have the opportunity to help us make a meaningful, positive impact on the environment. The ideal candidate for this role should have a background in environmental science, public policy and/or sustainability practices, as well as experience in developing and managing sustainability initiatives. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are also a must, as our Environmental Sustainability Specialist will be responsible for engaging with internal and external stakeholders to drive Timberland’s sustainability objectives. Responsibilities:

1. Develop and manage sustainable initiatives for Timberland.
2. Engage with internal and external stakeholders to drive Timberland’s sustainability objectives.
3. Develop and execute environmental initiatives related to production, packaging, distribution and other aspects of Timberland's business.
4. Research and analyze current and emerging environmental sustainability practices.
5. Develop sustainability strategies and objectives for Timberland and monitor progress.
6. Identify areas of improvement for Timberland’s environmental sustainability efforts.
7. Prepare reports and presentations to communicate progress and outcomes of sustainability initiatives to stakeholders.
8. Collaborate with other departments to ensure the successful implementation of sustainability initiatives.
9. Establish partnerships with external organizations to support Timberland’s sustainability objectives.
10. Act as a spokesperson for Timberland’s sustainability efforts.
