Environmental Sustainability Specialist

At Timberland, we are looking for an innovative and committed Environmental Sustainability Specialist to lead the way in creating a sustainable and responsible business. As a key member of our Sustainability team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative approaches to reducing our environmental impact and creating a culture of sustainability throughout the organization.To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in environmental sustainability with a minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental and/or sustainability related fields. An understanding of sustainability reporting standards and processes, such as GRI and CDP, is a plus. You should also have excellent communication and project management skills with the ability to influence and lead change at all levels of the organization. Most importantly, you should have a passion for environmental sustainability and a commitment to making a positive impact in the world.

Responsibilities:

1. Create and implement innovative approaches to reducing environmental impact and creating a culture of sustainability throughout the organization.
2. Develop and maintain sustainability reporting standards and processes, such as GRI and CDP.
3. Monitor and evaluate environmental sustainability initiatives for progress and effectiveness.
4. Research and analyze best practices for sustainability from other organizations.
5. Lead stakeholder engagement initiatives to ensure transparency and accountability of sustainability efforts.
6. Educate, train and mentor employees on sustainability topics and initiatives.
7. Develop and implement strategies to increase engagement of employees in sustainability initiatives.
8. Develop and track sustainability KPIs to ensure progress towards sustainability goals.
9. Identify and manage environmental risks to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
10. Develop and manage internal and external partnerships to support sustainability initiatives.
