
Environmental Sustainability Specialist
At Timberland, we are looking for an innovative and committed Environmental Sustainability Specialist to lead the way in creating a sustainable and responsible business. As a key member of our Sustainability team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative approaches to reducing our environmental impact and creating a culture of sustainability throughout the organization.To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in environmental sustainability with a minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental and/or sustainability related fields. An understanding of sustainability reporting standards and processes, such as GRI and CDP, is a plus. You should also have excellent communication and project management skills with the ability to influence and lead change at all levels of the organization. Most importantly, you should have a passion for environmental sustainability and a commitment to making a positive impact in the world.
Responsibilities:
- Create and implement innovative approaches to reducing environmental impact and creating a culture of sustainability throughout the organization.
- Develop and maintain sustainability reporting standards and processes, such as GRI and CDP.
- Monitor and evaluate environmental sustainability initiatives for progress and effectiveness.
- Research and analyze best practices for sustainability from other organizations.
- Lead stakeholder engagement initiatives to ensure transparency and accountability of sustainability efforts.
- Educate, train and mentor employees on sustainability topics and initiatives.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase engagement of employees in sustainability initiatives.
- Develop and track sustainability KPIs to ensure progress towards sustainability goals.
- Identify and manage environmental risks to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
- Develop and manage internal and external partnerships to support sustainability initiatives.
