Job Description

  1. Develop and implement environmental health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws.
  2. Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify any potential hazards or environmental concerns and develop plans to mitigate or address them.
  3. Monitor and evaluate workplace practices and procedures to promote a culture of safety and sustainability.
  4. Provide training and education to employees on environmental and safety regulations, procedures, and best practices.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement strategies to reduce the company's environmental impact.
  6. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and regulatory changes related to environmental health and safety and make recommendations for improvement.
  7. Investigate and report any incidents or accidents in the workplace and develop corrective and preventative actions.
  8. Communicate with regulatory agencies and maintain all necessary permits and records related to environmental health and safety.
  9. Conduct risk assessments and develop emergency response plans to ensure the safety of employees and the environment.
  10. Act as a liaison between the company and external stakeholders, such as government agencies and community groups, on matters related to environmental health and safety.
  11. Monitor and analyze data related to environmental sustainability and workplace safety to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations to management.
  12. Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure they adhere to the company's environmental and safety standards.
  13. Serve as a role model and champion for environmental sustainability and workplace safety within the company.
  14. Conduct regular training and drills to ensure employees are prepared for emergency situations.
  15. Other duties as assigned by management.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Occupational Health And Safety, Environmental Science, Or A Related Field

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In A Similar Role, Preferably In The Automotive Industry

  • Knowledge Of Federal, State, And Local Environmental Regulations And Safety Standards

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Train And Educate Employees On Safety Protocols

  • Certified Safety Professional (Csp) Or Occupational Health And Safety Technologist (Ohst) Certification Is Preferred.
