- Lead and manage the Cyber Security Operations Center (SOC) team to ensure proactive and effective detection, analysis, and response to cyber threats.
- Develop and implement strategies and policies to enhance the organization's overall cybersecurity posture.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential security gaps and prioritize remediation efforts.
- Stay updated on the latest cyber threats and trends, and provide guidance and recommendations to the organization on how to mitigate those risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, risk management, and legal, to ensure alignment and consistency in cybersecurity practices.
- Oversee the SOC team's incident response process, including containment, eradication, and recovery, to minimize the impact of cyber attacks.
- Monitor and analyze security logs, alerts, and other data sources to identify potential security incidents and take appropriate action.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, such as law enforcement agencies and cybersecurity vendors, to stay informed and leverage resources when necessary.
- Conduct regular training and awareness sessions for employees to promote a culture of cybersecurity awareness.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on the organization's cybersecurity posture, including metrics and key performance indicators.
Extensive Knowledge Of Cyber Security: The Soc Manager At Travelers Must Possess A Deep Understanding Of The Latest Cyber Threats, Attack Techniques, And Security Technologies. They Should Also Have Experience In Implementing And Managing Security Operations In A Large Organization.
