Job Description

At U.S. Bank Corp, we are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Quantitative Model Analyst - AML to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing a variety of quantitative models to identify, detect, and prevent financial crime, such as money laundering and fraud. To be successful, you must be able to work both independently and collaboratively, and have excellent quantitative and communication skills. If you are looking for an opportunity to make an impact and be part of a team that is committed to making a difference, then this is the right position for you.Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, finance, or related field• 5+ years of experience in quantitative analysis, data mining, or modeling• Prior experience using statistical software, such as SAS or R• Thorough understanding of AML/BSA laws and regulations• Outstanding problem-solving and analytical skills• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain quantitative models to identify, detect, and prevent financial crime.
  2. Analyze data to uncover patterns that may indicate money laundering and fraud.
  3. Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with AML/BSA laws and regulations.
  4. Develop strategies to reduce the risk of financial crime.
  5. Stay current on industry developments, trends, and best practices related to AML/BSA.
  6. Utilize statistical software, such as SAS or R, to analyze data and develop models.
  7. Prepare reports and presentations on quantitative models and findings to share with stakeholders.
  8. Monitor and audit existing models to ensure accuracy and effectiveness.
  9. Troubleshoot and resolve model-related issues.
  10. Provide guidance and training to other team members on quantitative models and data analysis.
