Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Environmental Scientist to join the U.S. Department of Commerce. In this role, you will use your scientific expertise to develop and maintain environmental policies and standards. You will work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with environmental regulations, as well as analyze data to inform policy decisions. The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong background in environmental science and policy, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to making a positive impact. If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you!Required Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Policy, or a related field• Demonstrated knowledge of environmental regulations and standards• Ability to analyze data and interpret legal documents• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain environmental policies and standards in compliance with environmental regulations. • Analyze data to inform policy decisions. • Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with environmental regulations. • Prepare reports, presentations, and other materials to present data and findings. • Identify and recommend solutions to environmental issues. • Monitor environmental conditions and provide updates to management. • Assist in the development and implementation of sustainable practices.
