Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Records and Correspondence Management Analyst to join the U.S. Department of Commerce. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical and administrative support to ensure that all records and correspondence management procedures are compliant with relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines. The ideal candidate should be able to work independently, be highly organized, and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. If you have a strong background in records management and a commitment to excellence, we'd love to hear from you!To be considered for this position, applicants must possess a bachelor's degree in Records Management or a related field and at least two years of experience in a records management role. Additionally, it is essential that candidates be knowledgeable of records management systems and technologies, and have a strong understanding of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and other records management laws and guidelines.

Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines related to records and correspondence management.
  2. Develop and implement records and correspondence management procedures.
  3. Manage records and correspondence databases.
  4. Train staff on records and correspondence management procedures.
  5. Maintain records and correspondence archives.
  6. Prepare reports on records and correspondence management activities.
  7. Monitor records and correspondence management systems to ensure accuracy and integrity.
  8. Review records and correspondence for accuracy and completeness.
  9. Respond to requests for records and correspondence from internal and external customers.
  10. Manage the records and correspondence lifecycle.
  11. Manage records and correspondence security protocols.
  12. Advise on best practices for records and correspondence management.
  13. Assist with audits of records and correspondence management activities.
  14. Research and analyze new records and correspondence management technologies.
