
Supervisory Historian
The U.S. Department of Commerce is seeking an experienced and dedicated Supervisory Historian to join our team. As a leader in our history office, the Supervisory Historian will be responsible for directing the development of historical products, supervising staff, and ensuring that all work meets the highest standards of excellence.The ideal candidate for this position will have extensive knowledge and experience in history, as well as strong management and leadership skills. Responsibilities:
- Direct the development of historical products in accordance with the highest standards of excellence.
- Supervise and mentor staff to ensure that all work meets the highest quality standards.
- Ensure that all historical products are accurate and up-to-date.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders.
- Manage and coordinate resources in order to maximize efficiency.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of staff members and provide feedback.
- Provide guidance and technical assistance to staff as needed.
- Develop and implement plans to ensure that all work is completed on time and on budget.
- Implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Participate in meetings and presentations to discuss historical research and products.

A Minimum Of Five Years Of Experience In Leading And Managing Research
