Job Description

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is seeking an experienced and motivated Policy Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will provide expertise and leadership in the development and implementation of policies and programs that are designed to improve the health and safety of the general public. The ideal candidate will possess the skills and qualifications necessary to analyze complex issues, provide sound recommendations, and effectively communicate the findings to key stakeholders. Qualifications:• Bachelor’s Degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, or a related field• 3+ years of experience in policy analysis and program development• Advanced knowledge of relevant laws and regulations • Analytical and problem-solving skills• Excellent verbal and written communication skills• Ability to work independently and as part of a team• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software programs

Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze complex issues and develop policy recommendations.
  2. Implement policies and programs to improve public health and safety.
  3. Provide expert advice and guidance to key stakeholders.
  4. Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  5. Monitor laws and regulations related to policy and program development.
  6. Develop and maintain working relationships with various stakeholders.
  7. Maintain records and prepare reports.
  8. Manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
  9. Utilize Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software programs.
