Job Description

The U.S. Department of Justice is looking for a talented and dedicated Personnel Security Specialist to join our team. This individual will be responsible for the oversight of the personnel security program and will ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The ideal candidate for this position will have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, as well as a strong understanding of the principles of personnel security. Additionally, experience in government personnel security clearance operations are preferred. Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the personnel security program for the U.S. Department of Justice.

• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to personnel security.

• Develop and implement personnel security policies and procedures. • Monitor personnel security clearance operations. • Review and analyze personnel security clearance applications and supporting documentation. • Communicate with potential and current personnel security clearance holders regarding the status of their application. • Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel security clearance records. • Meet with personnel security clearance officers to discuss personnel security clearance issues. • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with other government agencies and external stakeholders. • Assist in the resolution of personnel security clearance issues. • Monitor security clearance investigations and adjudications. • Prepare and submit periodic reports on personnel security clearance operations.
