
Pharmacist
The U.S. Department of Justice is looking for an experienced, highly motivated Pharmacist to join our team. The successful candidate will work with a multidisciplinary team to maintain and develop our pharmacy services and provide the highest quality of patient care. We are looking for a Pharmacist who is passionate about the profession, has a strong commitment to patient care, and is able to work collaboratively with other department staff.The ideal candidate will have a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree and must be licensed by the state Board of Pharmacy. The candidate should have a minimum of two years of experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy setting. Attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and an aptitude for data analysis are essential qualities for this role. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work with a diverse team.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and develop pharmacy services in accordance with standards set by the U.S. Department of Justice.
- Provide high-quality patient care, including consulting with patients and healthcare providers to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with other department staff to ensure the efficient operation of the pharmacy.
- Monitor and analyze data to identify areas of improvement in patient care and pharmacy services.
- Ensure compliance with state Board of Pharmacy regulations and laws.
- Manage inventory and order medication and supplies when necessary.
- Compound and dispense medications as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Promote the safe, effective, and appropriate use of medications.
- Maintain patient records and provide accurate information about medications.
- Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and other members of the healthcare team.
