
Diplomatic Security Service Special Agent
The U.S. Department of State is looking for a highly motivated and dedicated professional to join our team as a Diplomatic Security Service Special Agent. As a Special Agent, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the security of our diplomats and the integrity of our foreign policy. Working closely with members of the Department of State, you will be responsible for protecting personnel, facilities, and information from threats and hazards. To be successful in this role, you must be a strong leader with outstanding communication, problem-solving, and investigative skills. In addition, you must have a minimum of two years of investigative or law enforcement experience and be willing to travel domestically and internationally. Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor security plans and programs to ensure the protection of personnel, facilities, and information from threats and hazards.
- Conduct investigations into incidents and security breaches and take appropriate measures to ensure security is maintained.
- Collaborate with other Department of State personnel to identify and address security issues.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant security regulations and policies.
- Provide training to personnel on security procedures and protocols.
- Monitor surveillance equipment and systems to ensure proper functioning.
- Respond to security related incidents and take appropriate actions to contain and resolve them.
- Monitor and assess security risk in areas of operation, and recommend corrective measures.
- Prepare detailed reports of investigations and security incidents.
- Travel domestically and internationally as needed to complete security assignments.
