Job Description

We are a key part of Uber's cross-functional operations and analytics teams, helping to drive operational excellence through data analytics, develop data-driven business insights and work with team members along with cross-functional partners to find opportunities and optimize critical metrics such as payments approval rate and our Cost of Payments Processing. Identify ineffective spend across the globe, and propose cost saving opportunities Support negotiations and regional initiatives by finding opportunities and building impact analyses. Partner cross-functionally (e.g. Product, Engineering, Finance, Accounting) to understand alignment of current cost of payments and implement cost saving initiatives. Contribute to our global fee intelligence initiative, which aims to understand cost of payments at a transaction level.

Job Qualifications

  • 5+ years of operations experience at a high-growth tech company or payments company

  • Proven experience handling ambiguous environments to uncover insights that others would not think about

  • Demonstrated experience leading efforts from start-to-finish with limited guidance

  • Significant career experience in payments - either focusing on the topic at a merchant, issuing bank, acquirer, network and/or payment processor
