- Develop and implement innovative medical physics solutions to improve patient outcomes and advance the overall quality of care at UCHealth.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans that utilize cutting-edge technology and techniques.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and safety standards, including those set by the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC).
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of the physics department, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in medical physics and technology, and apply this knowledge to enhance patient care and treatment.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all procedures and treatments, adhering to HIPAA regulations and other privacy laws.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior medical physicists and other members of the healthcare team, promoting a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Collaborate with hospital administrators and other leaders to develop and implement strategic plans for the physics department, aligning with the overall goals and mission of UCHealth.
- Represent the physics department in meetings and conferences, serving as a subject matter expert and building relationships with external stakeholders.

Advanced Degree In Medical Physics: A Chief Medical Physicist At Uchealth Should Have A Minimum Of A Master's Or Phd Degree In Medical Physics From An Accredited Program. This Ensures A Strong Foundation In The Principles And Practices Of Medical Physics.
Certification By The American Board Of Radiology (Abr): The Abr Is The Recognized Standard For Certification In The Field Of Medical Physics. A Chief Medical Physicist At Uchealth Should Be Abr-Certified In One Or More Specialties Such As Therapeutic Medical Physics, Diagnostic Medical Physics, Or Nuclear Medical Physics.
Extensive Clinical Experience: Uchealth Is A Leading Healthcare Institution, And The Chief Medical Physicist Should Have A Minimum Of 5-7 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Setting.
