  1. Manage and maintain the Epic Cache/Iris databases for UCHealth, ensuring their optimal performance and functioning.
  2. Perform routine database maintenance tasks such as backups, upgrades, and data integrity checks.
  3. Monitor database performance and make necessary adjustments to optimize system efficiency.
  4. Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely and effective manner.
  5. Collaborate with IT and other teams to develop, implement, and maintain data security protocols.
  6. Develop and maintain documentation of database configurations, processes, and procedures.
  7. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in Epic Cache/Iris technology to continuously improve database systems.
  8. Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other team members.
  9. Plan and execute database disaster recovery procedures.
  10. Work closely with application developers and analysts to ensure seamless integration of databases with other systems.
  11. Participate in on-call rotation and respond to urgent database issues as needed.
  12. Train and mentor junior database administrators on best practices and procedures.
  13. Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements related to database management.
  14. Collaborate with vendors and consultants to implement new database features and upgrades.
  15. Contribute to the development and implementation of data governance policies and procedures.

Job Qualifications

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Epic Cache/Iris Database Management: A Database Administrator For Uchealth Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Epic Cache And Iris Database Management, Including Installation, Configuration, And Maintenance.

  • Experience With Database Security: As A Healthcare Organization, Uchealth Places A High Priority On Data Security. The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience In Implementing And Maintaining Security Measures To Protect Sensitive Patient Information.

  • Proficiency In Sql And Other Database Languages: A Strong Background In Sql And Other Database Languages Is Essential For A Database Administrator At Uchealth. This Includes The Ability To Write Complex Queries, Troubleshoot Database Issues, And Optimize Database Performance.

  • Experience With Backup And Recovery Processes: Uchealth's Database Systems Must Be Highly Available And Reliable. The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience In Implementing Backup And Recovery Processes To Ensure Minimal Downtime In Case Of System Failure.

  • Strong Problem-Solving Skills: As A Database Administrator, The Ability To Quickly And Effectively Troubleshoot And Resolve Database Issues Is Crucial. The Ideal Candidate Should Have Strong Problem-Solving Skills And Be Able To Think Critically To Identify And Resolve Issues In A Timely Manner.
