  1. Respond promptly to emergency calls and provide immediate medical care to patients.
  2. Assess patient's condition and make quick and accurate decisions based on protocols and training.
  3. Administer emergency medical treatments, such as CPR, bandaging, and administering medications.
  4. Transport patients safely and efficiently to medical facilities.
  5. Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  6. Document all patient interactions, treatments, and transport details accurately.
  7. Maintain and restock medical supplies and equipment to ensure readiness for emergency situations.
  8. Act as a liaison between patients and medical facilities, providing updates on patient condition and relaying important information.
  9. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines.
  10. Continuously participate in training and professional development to stay current with industry standards and advancements.
  11. Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure the safety of patients, self, and others.
  12. Remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations and provide emotional support to patients and their loved ones.
  13. Demonstrate compassion, empathy, and professionalism in all interactions with patients and their families.
  14. Represent UCHealth in a positive manner and maintain a strong commitment to providing exceptional emergency medical care.

Job Qualifications
  • Certification: A Valid Certification As An Emergency Medical Technician (Emt) Is Required For This Position. This Certification Must Be Obtained Through An Accredited Program.

  • Experience: A Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience Working As An Emt In A Healthcare Setting Is Preferred. This Experience Should Include Responding To Emergency Calls, Providing Basic Life Support, And Administering Medications.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Equipment: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Medical Equipment And Be Able To Operate And Maintain Various Devices, Such As Defibrillators, Oxygen Tanks, And Stretchers.

  • Strong Communication Skills: Effective Communication Is Crucial In This Role As Emts Work Closely With Patients, Healthcare Providers, And First Responders. The Ability To Communicate Clearly And Concisely In High-Stress Situations Is Essential.

  • Physical Fitness: Emts Must Be Physically Fit And Able To Lift And Move Patients With Varying Levels Of Mobility. Candidates Should Be Able To Meet The Physical Demands Of The Job, Including Standing For Long Periods, Bending, And Lifting Up To 100 Pounds.
