- Assist physicians and nurses during endoscopic procedures by preparing and maintaining equipment, assisting with patient positioning, and providing necessary instruments and supplies.
- Maintain a safe and sterile environment in the endoscopy suite by adhering to infection control protocols and proper handling of equipment and supplies.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or abnormalities to the medical team.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including pre- and post-procedure documentation.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and timely completion of procedures.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment, and order replacements as needed.
- Adhere to all hospital and department policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Provide compassionate and quality care to patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the procedure.
- Continuously educate yourself on new equipment, procedures, and techniques in the field of endoscopy.
- Participate in team meetings, trainings, and quality improvement initiatives as required.
Certification: A Minimum Of An Associate's Degree In A Related Field And Certification As An Endoscopy Technician Is Required For This Position.
Experience: At Least 2 Years Of Experience Working As An Endoscopy Technician In A Hospital Or Outpatient Setting Is Preferred.
Knowledge Of Endoscopy Procedures: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Various Endoscopic Procedures Including But Not Limited To Colonoscopy, Gastroscopy, And Bronchoscopy.
Technical Skills: Proficiency In Operating And Troubleshooting Endoscopic Equipment And Instruments Is A Must For This Role.
Communication Skills: Strong Communication Skills Are Essential As The Endoscopy Technician Will Be Working Closely With Physicians, Nurses, And Other Healthcare Professionals To Ensure The Smooth And Safe Execution Of Endoscopic Procedures.
