  1. Accurately and efficiently process hospital billing and claims to ensure timely and accurate payments from insurance companies and patients.
  2. Utilize knowledge and experience in hospital billing and claims management to navigate and optimize the use of the Epic system.
  3. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and insurance companies by promptly responding to inquiries and resolving any billing issues.
  4. Collaborate with other departments and team members to identify and resolve billing discrepancies and improve overall billing processes.
  5. Monitor and analyze billing data to identify trends, patterns, and potential areas for improvement.
  6. Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and changes in insurance policies to ensure compliance and accuracy in billing practices.
  7. Train and educate staff on proper billing and claims processes, as well as the use of the Epic system.
  8. Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge in hospital billing and claims management.
  9. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
  10. Demonstrate a strong attention to detail and accuracy in all billing and claims tasks.
  11. Prioritize and manage workload to meet established deadlines and maintain productivity.
  12. Continuously strive to improve the financial well-being of the organization by identifying and implementing process improvements and cost-saving measures.
  13. Act as a resource and provide support to other team members as needed.
  14. Represent UCHealth in a professional and positive manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Health Information Management, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Experience Working With Epic Hospital Billing And Claims Modules.

  • Epic Certification In Hospital Billing And Claims Is Required.

  • Strong Analytical Skills And Ability To Troubleshoot Complex Billing And Claims Issues.

  • Knowledge Of Federal And State Regulations Related To Healthcare Billing And Claims, Including Hipaa And Medicare/Medicaid Guidelines.
