
Exercise Physiologist - Cardiac Rehab

- Conduct individualized assessments of patients' physical abilities, medical histories, and current fitness levels to develop tailored exercise plans
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust exercise plans accordingly to ensure safety and effectiveness
- Educate patients on the benefits of exercise for cardiac health and provide guidance on proper form and technique
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, and physical therapists to develop comprehensive treatment plans for patients
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patients' exercise sessions and progress
- Stay informed on the latest research and developments in exercise physiology and cardiac rehabilitation to continuously improve patient care
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients during their recovery journey
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients to exercise in, following all infection control and safety protocols
- Assist with program development and implementation to enhance the overall quality of the cardiac rehabilitation program
- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to promote understanding and collaboration in patient care.
Bachelor's Degree In Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Or A Related Field
Certification From The American College Of Sports Medicine (Acsm) As A Certified Exercise Physiologist (Cep)
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Cardiac Rehab Setting
Familiarity With Ecg Interpretation And Exercise Prescription For Patients With Various Cardiac Conditions
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Closely With A Multidisciplinary Healthcare Team And Effectively Educate Patients On Exercise And Lifestyle Modifications.
