  1. Develop and implement fire and life safety policies and procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  2. Conduct regular inspections and audits of all UCHealth facilities to identify potential safety hazards and ensure compliance with fire codes.
  3. Collaborate with department heads and staff to provide ongoing training and education on fire and life safety protocols.
  4. Maintain accurate records of all fire safety inspections, training sessions, and emergency drills.
  5. Serve as the primary point of contact for all fire and life safety related inquiries and concerns from staff and external agencies.
  6. Coordinate with local fire departments and emergency services to develop and maintain emergency response plans.
  7. Conduct investigations and report any safety violations or incidents to appropriate authorities.
  8. Stay up-to-date on industry standards and best practices related to fire and life safety and make recommendations for improvement as needed.
  9. Oversee the maintenance and testing of fire safety equipment, including fire alarms, sprinkler systems, and extinguishers.
  10. Act as a liaison between UCHealth and regulatory agencies during safety inspections and audits.
  11. Respond to emergency situations and provide guidance and support to staff in the event of a fire or other safety incident.
  12. Evaluate and make recommendations for any necessary modifications or upgrades to facilities to improve fire and life safety.
  13. Collaborate with construction and renovation teams to ensure compliance with fire and life safety regulations during building projects.
  14. Monitor and manage the budget for fire and life safety initiatives and equipment.
  15. Demonstrate a commitment to the mission and values of UCHealth and promote a culture of safety among all staff members.

Job Qualifications
  • Certification In Fire And Life Safety: The Ideal Candidate Should Hold A Relevant Certification In Fire And Life Safety, Such As Certified Fire Protection Specialist (Cfps) Or Certified Fire Inspector (Cfi).

  • Knowledge Of Codes And Regulations: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Fire And Life Safety Codes And Regulations, Including Nfpa, Osha, And Cms Guidelines.

  • Experience In Emergency Management: The Candidate Should Have Prior Experience In Emergency Management, Including Developing And Implementing Emergency Response Plans And Conducting Fire And Life Safety Drills.

  • Strong Communication And Training Skills: The Candidate Should Possess Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Train And Educate Staff On Fire And Life Safety Procedures And Protocols.

  • Attention To Detail: The Candidate Should Have A Keen Eye For Detail And The Ability To Identify Potential Fire And Life Safety Hazards And Recommend Corrective Actions To Mitigate Risks.
