  1. Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with plastic surgeons.
  2. Educate patients and families on post-surgical care and provide ongoing support and guidance.
  3. Perform procedures such as wound care, suture removal, and dressing changes under the guidance of plastic surgeons.
  4. Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
  5. Communicate effectively with plastic surgeons, other healthcare professionals, and support staff to ensure seamless patient care.
  6. Stay up-to-date on current trends and advancements in plastic and reconstructive surgery to provide the best possible care for patients.
  7. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.
  8. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
  9. Act as a patient advocate and promote patient autonomy and informed decision-making.
  10. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and quality of care.
  11. Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
  12. Demonstrate compassion, empathy, and professionalism in all interactions with patients and their families.
  13. Adhere to ethical and legal standards of practice.
  14. Attend trainings, conferences, and workshops to enhance professional development.
  15. Provide guidance and support to nursing staff and students.
  16. Collaborate with billing and coding professionals to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement.
  17. Adhere to UCHealth policies and procedures.
  18. Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  19. Continuously evaluate and improve processes to enhance patient experience and satisfaction.
  20. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the plastic and reconstructive surgery team.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Education And Certification: A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In Nursing And Certification As A Nurse Practitioner In The Specialty Of Plastic And Reconstructive Surgery Are Required For This Position.

  • Expert Knowledge Of Plastic And Reconstructive Surgery: This Role Requires A Strong Understanding Of The Principles And Techniques Of Plastic And Reconstructive Surgery, Including Experience In Surgical Procedures, Wound Management, And Aesthetic Treatments.

  • Clinical Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Clinical Experience As A Nurse Practitioner In A Similar Setting, With A Focus On Plastic And Reconstructive Surgery.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Colleagues, And Other Healthcare Professionals Is Essential In This Role. The Candidate Should Also Have Strong Interpersonal Skills To Build Rapport And Trust With Patients.
