- Provide compassionate and high-quality patient care throughout the entire plastic and reconstructive surgery process.
- Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans for patients.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on patient needs and goals.
- Perform and assist with various surgical procedures, including but not limited to: breast reconstruction, skin grafts, and cosmetic surgeries.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress before, during, and after surgery, and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
- Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and recovery, including potential risks and complications.
- Maintain accurate and updated patient records, including surgical histories, medication lists, and treatment plans.
- Follow all safety protocols and promote a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements and best practices in plastic and reconstructive surgery and implement new techniques and technologies as appropriate.
- Provide support and guidance to other healthcare team members, such as nurses and medical assistants, to ensure smooth and efficient patient care delivery.
- Adhere to all legal and ethical standards, including patient confidentiality and informed consent.
- Actively participate in continuing education and professional development activities to maintain and enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

Master's Degree In Nursing: A Nurse Practitioner In Plastic And Reconstructive Surgery At Uchealth Must Have A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Program. This Advanced Degree Provides The Necessary Training And Education In Areas Such As Patient Care, Clinical Procedures, And Health Assessment.
