  1. Assist patients in their daily activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  2. Monitor patients' vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature, and report any changes to the healthcare team.
  3. Help patients with mobility and transferring, as needed.
  4. Provide emotional support and companionship to patients.
  5. Keep patient rooms clean and organized.
  6. Assist with feeding and ensure patients are receiving proper nutrition.
  7. Administer medications under the direction of a nurse.
  8. Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing updates and addressing any concerns.
  9. Follow proper infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment for patients.
  10. Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner.
  11. Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  12. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
  13. Attend training and educational sessions to maintain current knowledge and skills.
  14. Maintain patient confidentiality and respect their privacy.
  15. Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Patient Care Assistant At Uchealth Should Possess A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent To Demonstrate Their Basic Education And Competency.

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) Certification: Uchealth Prefers Candidates With A Cna Certification As It Shows They Have Completed A Formal Training Program And Have The Necessary Skills To Provide Basic Patient Care.

  • Prior Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Candidates With Prior Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Such As A Hospital, Nursing Home, Or Hospice, Will Be Preferred For The Patient Care Assistant Position At Uchealth As They Will Have A Better Understanding Of The Job Responsibilities And Environment.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Patient Care Assistant At Uchealth, The Candidate Must Have Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals.

  • Basic Knowledge Of Medical Terminology And Procedures: A Basic Understanding Of Medical Terminology And Procedures Is Crucial For A Patient Care Assistant At Uchealth To Accurately Document Patient Information And Assist With Procedures Under The Supervision Of A Registered Nurse Or Physician.
