  1. Provide compassionate and high-quality care to patients with cardiac conditions.
  2. Support patients and their families during their time in the Cardiology department.
  3. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible patient outcomes.
  4. Monitor and record vital signs, symptoms, and progress of patients.
  5. Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
  6. Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers.
  7. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  8. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
  9. Adhere to all policies and protocols related to patient care.
  10. Continuously seek opportunities for professional growth and development.
  11. Participate in team meetings, huddles, and trainings as required.
  12. Perform tasks and duties assigned by the nursing team.
  13. Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
  14. Advocate for patients' needs and rights.
  15. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
  16. Adhere to all infection control and safety protocols.
  17. Recognize and respond to emergency situations.
  18. Assist with transporting patients to and from tests and procedures.
  19. Attend to any other duties as assigned by the department manager.

Job Qualifications
  • Certification: A Patient Care Assistant In Cardiology At Uchealth Should Have A Valid Certification As A Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) Or A Medical Assistant (Ma).

  • Knowledge Of Cardiology: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Cardiology And Related Medical Procedures, As Well As Knowledge Of Common Heart Conditions And Treatments.

  • Experience In Patient Care: Previous Experience Working In A Medical Setting, Particularly In A Cardiology Department, Is Highly Valued For This Position. Candidates With Experience In Direct Patient Care And Monitoring Vital Signs Will Be Given Preference.

  • Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Effective Communication And Strong Interpersonal Skills Are Crucial For This Role. The Candidate Should Be Able To Interact With Patients, Families, And Healthcare Professionals In A Compassionate And Professional Manner.

  • Teamwork And Flexibility: A Patient Care Assistant In Cardiology Should Be Able To Work Well In A Team Setting And Be Willing To Assist With Various Tasks As Needed. Flexibility In Work Schedules And Duties Is Also Expected, As Patient Care Needs May Vary.
