- Provide compassionate and quality care to patients undergoing rehabilitation, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
- Assist patients with daily activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Monitor and document patients' vital signs, intake and output, and assist with medication administration under the direction of a registered nurse.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients, based on their specific needs and goals.
- Promote a safe and clean environment for patients by following infection control protocols and maintaining a clutter-free and organized workspace.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members to provide updates on patients' progress and address any concerns or questions.
- Help patients improve their mobility and strength by assisting with therapeutic exercises and activities as directed by the physical or occupational therapist.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities, including any changes in patients' condition or response to treatment.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of new ideas and strategies to improve patient care and outcomes.
- Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development by attending training sessions, workshops, and conferences related to healthcare and rehabilitation.
Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) Certification: Uchealth Requires All Patient Care Assistants To Have A Valid Cna Certification. This Ensures That The Candidate Has Received Proper Training And Has The Necessary Skills To Provide Care To Patients.
