- Provide safe and effective post-surgical care to patients in the PACU department.
- Monitor and assess patients' condition and response to treatments and medications.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Document all patient care and interventions accurately and timely.
- Communicate with patients and their families to educate them on post-operative care and answer any questions or concerns.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure patient safety and infection control.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
- Continuously evaluate and improve nursing practices to provide the highest quality of care.
- Act as an advocate for patients' rights and needs.
- Participate in departmental and hospital-wide initiatives and committees.
- Assist in the orientation and training of new staff members.

Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution: A Registered Nurse/Pacu At Uchealth Must Have A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing To Ensure They Have The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Provide High-Quality Patient Care.
Current Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Colorado: Uchealth Requires All Registered Nurse/Pacu Applicants To Hold A Current Rn License In The State Of Colorado, Ensuring They Are Legally Able To Practice And Provide Care To Patients.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Pacu Setting: Uchealth Looks For Candidates With A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Pacu Setting To Ensure They Have A Strong Understanding Of Post-Anesthesia Care And Are Able To Handle Complex Cases.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Certification: Due To The Critical Nature Of Post-Anesthesia Care, Uchealth Requires All Registered Nurse/Pacu Applicants To Hold A Current Acls Certification, Demonstrating Their Ability To Respond To Cardiac Emergencies.
Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills: As A Registered Nurse/Pacu, Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills Are Essential To Effectively Coordinate Care With An Interdisciplinary Team And Provide Education And Support To Patients And Their Families.
