Job Description

  1. Provide exceptional customer service to all library patrons, including students, faculty, and staff, by responding to inquiries and assisting with research needs.
  2. Maintain accurate and organized records of library materials, including cataloging, shelving, and inventory management.
  3. Collaborate with other library staff to develop and implement efficient processes and procedures for the organization and maintenance of library materials.
  4. Assist with the creation and implementation of library programs and events to promote resources and services to the university community.
  5. Utilize technology, including library databases and software, to assist patrons with research and information needs.
  6. Maintain a thorough understanding of library policies and procedures and effectively communicate them to patrons.
  7. Provide support to patrons in the use of library equipment and technology, including printers, computers, and audiovisual equipment.
  8. Train and supervise student workers and volunteers, delegating tasks and ensuring quality of work.
  9. Contribute to the development and maintenance of the library's online presence, including social media and website content.
  10. Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and stay informed about current trends and best practices in academic librarianship.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Library Science, Information Science, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Library Setting, Preferably In A Supervisory Role.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Library Systems And Resources, Including Cataloging, Classification, And Circulation.

  • Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With A Diverse Population.

  • Proficiency In Computer Skills, Including Experience With Library Databases, Microsoft Office, And Google Suite.
