
Library Assistant III

- Provide exceptional customer service to all library patrons, including students, faculty, and staff, by responding to inquiries and assisting with research needs.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of library materials, including cataloging, shelving, and inventory management.
- Collaborate with other library staff to develop and implement efficient processes and procedures for the organization and maintenance of library materials.
- Assist with the creation and implementation of library programs and events to promote resources and services to the university community.
- Utilize technology, including library databases and software, to assist patrons with research and information needs.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of library policies and procedures and effectively communicate them to patrons.
- Provide support to patrons in the use of library equipment and technology, including printers, computers, and audiovisual equipment.
- Train and supervise student workers and volunteers, delegating tasks and ensuring quality of work.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of the library's online presence, including social media and website content.
- Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and stay informed about current trends and best practices in academic librarianship.
Bachelor's Degree In Library Science, Information Science, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Library Setting, Preferably In A Supervisory Role.
Strong Knowledge Of Library Systems And Resources, Including Cataloging, Classification, And Circulation.
Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With A Diverse Population.
Proficiency In Computer Skills, Including Experience With Library Databases, Microsoft Office, And Google Suite.
