Job Description

Working in close collaboration with the Data & Analytics Nutrition team, the incumbent will support the team on a variety of work related to nutrition data, including data analysis for update of global databases, review of new data for inclusion in global databases and ongoing maintenance and expansion of survey catalogue. The incumbent will be required to update UNICEF’s nutrition survey catalogue with key parameters as nutrition specific topics covered by a survey and dates of field work/data collection. Support with data analysis and review: Undertake reanalysis of surveys for nutrition databases as needed using MACROS in STATA developed by the nutrition team. Support literature review and data analysis for measuring impact of COVID on nutrition: The candidate will support the nutrition team in reviewing available literature on impacts of pandemics or financial crisis on nutrition outcomes which will be used to undertake data analysis and model the impact of COVID.

Job Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible and relevant professional work experience

  • Knowledge of data collected in large scale household surveys such as DHS and MICS is an asset.

  • Relevant experience in conducting qualitative analysis or literature reviews is an added advantage.

  • Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and ability to establish harmonious working relations in a multicultural environment.
