Job Description

Prepare advice (policy and operational), memos and other correspondence, revise relevant policies on matters related to the Social Security pillar, as required. Liaise with GSSC on systemic and operational matters with respect to the development and implementation of HR policies as well as on simplification of business practices. In particular, work closely with the HR/GSSC colleagues in order to resolve operational and as appropriate, policy-issues related to the UNICEF Medical Insurance Plan for non-locally recruited staff and the WorldWide Plan. Review and assist in managing individual cases arising under the MIP for locally-recruited personnel. Provide advice and support to human resources practitioner on the interpretation of human resources policies. Draft and review official correspondence addressed to UNICEF staff (letters of termination, letters of appointment templates, etc.), and other HR-related agreements with staff or external stakeholders, as well as templates for such letters/agreements. Support the Policy pillar of the team in making amendments to UNICEF HR policies, as necessary.
