- Develop and implement environmental policies and initiatives to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct regular environmental audits and inspections to identify potential areas of improvement and ensure adherence to company and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement sustainable practices across company operations.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on environmental regulations and provide guidance to internal stakeholders.
- Conduct research and analysis to identify potential environmental risks and develop solutions to mitigate them.
- Monitor and report on environmental performance metrics to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Coordinate with external agencies and stakeholders to obtain necessary permits and approvals.
- Conduct employee training and education programs to promote environmental awareness and compliance.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments in environmental science to continually improve and innovate company practices.
- Communicate with the community and other external stakeholders to address any environmental concerns or inquiries.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills.
Bachelor's Degree In Environmental Science, Engineering, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In Environmental Compliance And Regulations.
Knowledge Of Federal, State, And Local Environmental Laws And Regulations Pertaining To The Railroad Industry.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Work With Various Stakeholders, Including Government Agencies And Community Members.
