  1. Develop, implement, and monitor environmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.

  3. Collaborate with various departments and teams to create and implement environmental initiatives and programs that align with company goals and objectives.

  6. Provide guidance and support to other departments on environmental issues and best practices.
  7. Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on environmental policies, procedures, and regulations.
  8. Act as a liaison with local, state, and federal agencies on environmental matters, including permit applications and compliance reporting.
  9. Maintain accurate and detailed records of environmental activities, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  10. Identify and implement sustainable practices and technologies to improve the company's environmental performance.
  11. Collaborate with community stakeholders to promote environmental awareness and advocate for sustainable practices.
  12. Represent the company at environmental conferences, meetings, and events to share best practices and stay current on industry trends.
  13. Handle any environmental emergencies or incidents promptly and effectively, following established protocols and procedures.
  14. Continuously evaluate and improve the company's environmental management system to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  15. Participate in internal and external environmental audits and assist with implementing corrective actions as needed.

Job Qualifications
  • Knowledge Of Federal, State, And Local Environmental Regulations And Their Application To Railroad Operations.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Environmental Science, Natural Resources Management, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Environmental Compliance And Permitting, Preferably In The Transportation Industry.

  • Strong Analytical Skills And Ability To Interpret And Communicate Complex Environmental Data.

  • Experience Developing And Implementing Environmental Management Systems And Sustainability Initiatives.
