  1. Conduct regular environmental audits and inspections to identify potential environmental risks and ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
  2. Develop and implement environmental management plans to mitigate potential impacts and improve overall environmental performance.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess and address environmental concerns related to new projects, operations, and equipment.
  4. Review and analyze data to track environmental performance and identify areas for improvement.
  5. Keep abreast of new and emerging environmental regulations and industry best practices, and make recommendations for incorporating them into company policies and procedures.
  6. Provide training and support to employees on environmental compliance and sustainability practices.
  7. Serve as a liaison with regulatory agencies and community stakeholders to address any environmental concerns or inquiries.
  8. Conduct investigations into environmental incidents and develop corrective and preventative action plans.
  9. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors to ensure compliance with environmental requirements.
  10. Participate in the development and implementation of sustainability initiatives and goals for the company.
  11. Prepare and submit reports to internal and external stakeholders on environmental performance and compliance.
  12. Communicate and promote the company's commitment to environmental sustainability to both internal and external audiences.
  13. Continuously seek opportunities to improve Union Pacific's environmental performance and reduce its environmental footprint.
  14. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to protect the environment and ensure the safety of employees and the public.
  15. Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure that environmental considerations are integrated into all aspects of the company's operations.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2-3 Years Experience In Environmental Compliance And Regulations, Preferably In The Railroad Industry.

  • Knowledge Of Federal, State, And Local Environmental Laws And Regulations, Including But Not Limited To Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, And Resource Conservation And Recovery Act.

  • Experience Conducting Environmental Audits And Inspections, And Developing And Implementing Environmental Management Plans.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Identify And Mitigate Environmental Risks And Develop Solutions To Complex Environmental Issues.
