  1. Maintain and support Union Pacific Railroad's IT systems and infrastructure to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  2. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that may arise, utilizing problem-solving skills and a strong understanding of IT principles.
  3. Stay updated on the latest technology trends and advancements, and make recommendations for incorporating new tools and systems into our operations.
  4. Collaborate with various departments and teams to understand their technology needs and provide solutions that align with business goals.
  5. Monitor and analyze system performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to optimize efficiency.
  6. Ensure the security and integrity of our IT systems and data, implementing and enforcing best practices and protocols.
  7. Conduct regular maintenance and updates to keep systems running smoothly and prevent any disruptions to operations.
  8. Communicate with team members and stakeholders to provide updates on system changes, maintenance schedules, and any potential issues.
  9. Train and assist end-users in utilizing IT systems and tools effectively, providing guidance and troubleshooting assistance as needed.
  10. Continuously seek opportunities for improvement and innovation, proactively identifying ways to enhance our IT infrastructure and processes.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science, Information Technology, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In A Similar Role, Preferably In A Transportation Or Logistics Industry.

  • Strong Technical Skills In Networking, Database Management, And System Administration.

  • Experience With Railway-Specific Software And Systems, Such As Positive Train Control (Ptc) And Train Management And Dispatch System (Tmds).

  • Knowledge Of Industry Regulations And Compliance Standards, Such As Federal Railroad Administration (Fra) Guidelines And Cybersecurity Protocols.
